Every therapist would like his or her intuition to function well. How much easier it is to work with a client when the perfect words to use spring from our lips. The client is certain that we understand them perfectly, as we seem to be seeing life through their own eyes in that moment.
Intuition is a subtle force.
It nudges us gently and we need to be able to hear and feel it accurately. Our personal limiting beliefs act as noisy impostors, shouting over our intuitive knowing, giving us unsubtle prods that interfere with our work.
With our own limiting beliefs still in place we simply cannot perceive the client with clear vision.
This fact should not be overlooked – it is the cause of more ineffective therapy than we can know!
As the subconscious mind controls a vast proportion of our functions it stands to reason that those things we hear and see with our clients can easily trigger our own negative patterns, beneath our conscious awareness. Our ‘impartiality’ is compromised when this happens.
We simply CANNOT stay unbiased, however much we FEEL we are, when our own emotions are being brought into play. We can TRY to ‘get out of the way’, but every honest therapist will be able to recall times when they have felt they did not accomplish this. Their own emotional vibration unwittingly became a part of the session. It stands to reason that there are many times we do not even realise this is happening, simply because of the nature of subconscious control.
REMOVING OUR LIMITING BELIEFS MEANS WE ARE LESS 'IN THE WAY' WHEN WE WORK! WE WILL BE INCREASINGLY ABLE
TO HEAR OUR INTUITION. WE WILL BECOME MORE ACCURATE AND CLEAR AS
OUR PERSONAL BELIEFS ARE REFINED....
